Nepali (44.6%) is the official spoken language as well as the mother tongue of Nepal although Nepal has more than 70 spoken languages. Besides that, Newari (3.2%), Bhojpuri (6%), Maithili (11.7%), Tharu (5.8%), and Magar (3%) are some of the major languages spoken in Nepal. Moreover, 46.49 % of Nepalese people can speak English fluently.
